Application Security in Multi-Cloud:
Policies and Best Practices for Reducing Risk
Presented by: Orin Thomas, Cloud and Datacenter Expert
Surging growth in multi-cloud adoption corresponds with mounting concern over how businesses can guarantee security and control over their applications. Multi-cloud environments not only complicate how organizations implement and govern security, but also how they coordinate responses to breaches and develop plans to put even more effective protocols in place. This session will explore how shared security models operate, the differences between vendors’ respective security controls and the role your organization plays in keeping its applications safe within the multi-cloud environment.

PREMIER SESSIONS
Changes in Cloud Adoption Trends
Presented by: Matthew Chiodi, CSO Public Cloud, Palo Alto Networks
It’s clear that the world is trending toward wider cloud adoption across all industries – the State of Cloud Native Security Report 2020 revealed that 46% of enterprise workloads are already in the cloud, and is expected to grow to 64% in the next 24 months. Recent global events have further solidified this surge, with enterprises and governments rapidly shifting critical workloads to the cloud. What may have been a multi-year strategy for an enterprise has, by necessity, been reduced to months or less.

For many organizations, this accelerated shift to the cloud also means completely reimagining and optimizing their stacks to achieve cloud native implementations. In this session, Matt Chiodi, CSO Public Cloud for Palo Alto Networks, will explore key cloud security trends that IT and security leaders should understand to ensure they are prepared for the rapidly approaching cloud native future.

  • A short demonstration of Polynimbus consistent policy management in a hybrid cloud example
  • Plans from specific industries (eCommerce and Financial Services) to address secure application delivery challenges in the Covid-19 era
The landscape has changed due to technology shifts and the changes in our environments, new technologies can help enterprises to ease operational burdens and reduce total cost of ownership (TCO).
